Halfloop is a MedTech Start-up based in the UK that is developing a phone and web app to allow patients and clinicians record and track their surgical implants, and allow implant companies and registries to track the performance of their implants in post-market surveillance.

Yellow Bird Consulting is responsible for the backend design and development of this product. The backend is written in Rust (with a couple of needed Python microservices) and is designed to deal with the complexity and security of the data. The backend is designed to be scalable and robust, and to be able to handle the high throughput of users that we expect. In addition to this, it must be HIPAA and GDPR compliant.
